In alignment with the Rawls Staff Council purpose, the Rawls Stand Out Staff Award recognizes staff members who demonstrate a collegial commitment to building and strengthening a more supportive and uplifting Rawls staff culture.
All current Rawls staff members are eligible to win once per calendar year.
$1200.00 (before taxes) will be awarded to one winner each month and designated front row parking privileges for one month.
The nomination period for each month begins at 12:00am on the first (1st) day of the month and ends at 5:00pm on the third (3rd) Friday of the same month. Only completed nominations received from Rawls staff or faculty members during the above stated nomination period for each month will be considered and accepted.
The selection committee will be looking for a nominee’s demonstrated evidence of compassion, service, integrity, positivity, and community, without solely placing job performance-based limitations on how cultural improvements are encouraged and accomplished.
The following individuals will serve as members of the selection committee for the duration of their service as Rawls Staff Council committee chairs. During this time, they will not be eligible to submit or receive any award nominations.
The selection committee will meet on the last week of each month to review nominations from the same month. Each month’s winner will be announced on the last Friday of that same month.
The Distinguished Staff Awards program recognizes and supports the achievements of Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University System non-faculty benefits-eligible employees. (Faculty positions, including librarians and archivists, are ineligible for this program.)
